In 1994 Allphar merged with United Pharmacists Co-Operative Society - a pharmaceutical distributor, to form the Uniphar Group which in 2007 had sales in excess of €720 million. Allphar Services is an autonomous company within the group. Since the merger, Irish pharmacists were offered a private placement of shares - today 40% of retail pharmacists have shares in the Uniphar Group. There are no non-pharmaceutical financial interests in the company -Allphar Services Ltd. is 100% owned and controlled by pharmacists, a fact which gives the company considerable strengths.

In 1993 Allphar Services Ltd. was awarded the International Quality Standard I.S./ISO 9002/EN 9002 which has subsequently been updated to I.S. EN ISO 9001:2000. This quality standard ensures that the quality policy of Allphar Services is understood, implemented, and monitored at all levels of the organisation. Allphar Services is committed to excellence.
